Ugalde Family

The Ugalde family of Cartago is looking at an unfulfilled dream. They started to seek their dream almost 2 years ago when they petitioned the Costa Rica Ministry of Housing for a grant to tear down their old, dilapidated, diseased ridden, wooden house and build a strong new prefabricated concrete one. Their petition was granted some 18months ago and the construction began this past April. The tear down went like clock work until they discovered many foundation problems with the building site. Much of the money had to be spent on retaining walls and reinforcing one existing concrete wall that was previously thought to be reusable. This created another problem because, as many of you know, the amount of a grant is fixed.

So as you can see from the photos, there is a gap in the dream. There are no windows or doors or tile or ceiling or fixtures in the house. The estimated budget for closing the gap is between eight and ten thousand dollars! That's a lot of green for one person to manage but maybe together we can do it. Consider donating towards the tile or the purchase of a new toilet and sink for the bathroom. A hundred dollars buys a couple of windows or some of the electrical wiring that is needed. Let's be the hands of Yeshuah for these precious torah walking servants of YHVH.
